Kottayam Backwaters

Kottayam is a beautiful Kerala backwater destinationKottayam - "the land of lakes, latex and letters", that's what it is famously called. The average annual rainfall is 2,701.7 mm. It is hot and humid. From June to Sept. it experiences torrential rains brought by the monsoon clouds.
